Linking Exhibitions and Galleries

Linking Exhibitions and Galleries is easy and provides you with more exposure for both the Gallery and the Exhibition. Linking Exhibitions and Galleries may be done by the one user, if they created the Gallery page and they also created the Exhibition page, or it may be done by two users if one user created the Gallery page and the other user created the Exhibition page.

When a Gallery and an Exhibition are linked, the Exhibitions appear on the Gallery page as in this example and the Gallery's name and logo appear on the Exhibition page as in this example.

I created the Gallery and the Exhibition, how do I link them?

Go to the page where you organise your Gallery's Exhibitions under My Account > Profiles > Gallery > Exhibitions. Under the section 'Your Exhibitions Not Linked To A Gallery Yet' you will see a list of all your Exhibitions which, obviously, you have not linked to your Gallery yet. Click on the 'link' button beside each Exhibition and you are done.

I created the Gallery but someone else uploaded the Exhibition, how do I link them?

This technique is slightly trickier. Once again go the page where you organise your Gallery's Exhibitions under My Account > Profiles > Gallery > Exhibitions but this time click on the button 'Request A Link To Someone Else's Exhibition'. Select the Exhibition you want to link to. The Exhibition will now be shown under the 'Pending Requests' section.

In the meantime our busy net beavers will write and send an elequent email to the user who uploaded the Exhibition. The email will ask the user nicely if they could please approve your link request. The user who uploaded the Exhibition does this by logging in to Artabase and looking in their message box for the link request. If they click on the 'Accept' button in this message then everything is apples. If the user rejects the link request we hope they provide you with a good excuse.

I uploaded the Exhibition but someone else created the Gallery page, how do I link them?

After you have created an Exhibition listing, you can go to My Account > Listings > My Exhibitions and select the link for requesting a link to a Gallery Profile which is owned by someone else.

Linking your Exhibition Listing to an Artist

After you have created an Exhibition listing, you can go to My Account > Listings > My Exhibitions and select the link for adding an artist to your exhibition. You can only link to artists who already have a profile on Artabase.

Linking your Artist Profile to an Exhibition Listing

You manage the Exhibitions which your Artist Profile is linked to from your Artist Profile administration area. Go to My Account > Profiles > Artist > Exhibitions. You can then link your Artist Profile to any of the Exhibition Listings which you have created on Artabase.
