Artabase for Artists

There are three main ways Artists can benefit by joining Artabase. First by creating a free artist profile; second by subscribing to our free Arts Opportunities Email Lists; and third by uploading Exhibitions.

Artist Profiles

It is free to create an Artist profile on Artabase. An Artist profile provides you with a unique web page with your own url, and over time we will be adding more features like photogalleries, links to galleries which represent you, links to your exhibitions and other upcoming surprises.

Arts Opportunities Email Lists

Our Arts Opportunities Email Lists send information about Arts Jobs, Competitions, Calls for Proposals, Funding Announcements etc directly to your email inbox. Our lists cover local opportunities as well as those in the International arena.

Artists can be easily informed about arts opportunities that are relevant to them by subscribing to the Email List for their country, and the international email list. Australian subscribers should also subscribe to the email list for their State or Territory.

The email lists are run from a separate database to the main Artabase website, so you need to manage your subscription to the email lists separately to your Artabase account. Creating an Artabase account does not automatically sign you up to the email lists, and signing up to the email lists does not automatically provide you with an Artabase account.

Uploading Exhibitions

It's now free to upload Exhibitions to Artabase. Uploading an Exhibition before it is on will provide you with timely exposure as it traverses through our Up Coming and Currently On Exhibition listing sections which people can use to research gallery events they wish to attend. After the Exhibition has closed the Exhibition listing will remain on our website for perpetuity, saving a record of your art activity in a permanent, online archive of art history. For this reason we encourage artists to upload their previous exhibitions as well.
